Simplex Infrastructures Ltd.

A lot of us started out in Boinchee, Hooghly, but our current assignment has us working near Hyderabad at a place called Wadi in Karnataka. We are here representing Simplex Infrastructures Limited. It’s a big change moving from West Bengal down to the south, but the work is what matters. The site office here is a bit of a makeshift setup with metal desks and plenty of blueprints spread out everywhere. We spend our days tracking the progress of the construction and making sure the supplies like cement and steel arrive on time. The heat in this part of Karnataka is something else, and it took us a while to get used to it. We usually eat our lunch together under the shade of a small porch, talking about our families back home or the progress of the day. There is always a lot of dust because of the heavy machinery moving around, so we’ve learned to keep our tea covered. We don't have much in the way of fancy offices here, just a practical space to get the job done. The guys stay in local housing nearby, and we’ve made some friends among the local people in Wadi. It’s a long way from the Hooghly district, but we’ve made a little home for ourselves here for now. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to keep everything moving forward until the project is finally wrapped up.
