Safety Officer

I work as a safety officer and my place is located at 19-3-1089/A/72/1 in Falaknuma, specifically in the Madina Colony area of Hyderabad. It’s a very local part of the city, and everyone knows everyone else around here. I’ve been doing safety work for a few years now, mostly focusing on small to medium projects. My office is just a room in the house where I keep my helmet and my logbooks. I spend most of my day out at different sites, checking that things are being done the right way. It’s a lot of responsibility because you don’t want anyone getting hurt on your watch. Some people think safety is just about wearing a hat, but it’s much more than that. I have to look at the wiring, the heights, and even how the materials are stacked. Hyderabad is very hot in the summer, so I have to make sure the guys are taking enough water breaks too. I’m not a big company, just a single person doing a job. I like being my own boss because it means I can take the time to really look at a site without someone rushing me. People in Madina Colony often stop me for a chat when I’m heading out in the morning. It’s a good community to be part of. I just try to do my job honestly and keep things safe for everyone involved. I’m not interested in being a big corporation.
