Ratan Housing Development Ltd. is located over at 153-D-1 Surya Vihar in Kanpur. It is a local office where we handle the daily side of building and housing projects. Kanpur is a busy, dusty city, and Surya Vihar has its own local feel. We have been here for a while, and the neighbors know us. Our office is a simple room with some desks and a lot of blueprints lying around. We don’t have a lot of staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to going out to the sites. The summers here are really hot, which makes site work tough, but we just get on with it. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. It’s a practical space for practical work. We deal with the local authorities, manage the workers, and try to keep things moving. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when multiple projects are happening at once, but we manage to pull through. It’s about being there every day and making sure the bricks and cement are where they should be. We don't have any polished speeches prepared. We just talk to people plainly and try to get the housing jobs done as best as we can. It’s just regular life for us here in Kanpur, keeping the business going one day at a time.
