Our workspace is over at Lig No.184 in Balaji Nagar, which is part of the Kukatpally area. It’s a pretty standard spot in Hyderabad where things are always under construction. Being property developers means we spend a lot of time looking at dirt, bricks, and bags of cement. We aren't the type to sit in air-conditioned rooms all day pretending we aren't part of the mess. Most of the time, our boots are dusty and our phones are ringing with calls from contractors or guys at the site. Kukatpally Village has changed a lot since we started out. It used to be much quieter, but now there are buildings going up everywhere you look. We try to keep our projects simple and focus on getting the walls straight and the roofs solid. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall; we just have a lot of blueprints and some old calendars. It’s a small team, and we all end up doing a bit of everything, from checking the plumbing to making sure the permits are in order. Sometimes things go wrong, like the rain delaying a pour or a supplier being late, and we just deal with it as it comes. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till late evening. We like being local and knowing the people who live in the neighborhood we’re building in.
