We are located down in Narsipatnam in the Visakha district of Andhra Pradesh. Our office is on Komati Street, and we are easy to find if you know Satyanarayana’s family. Narsipatnam is a lively place, but it still has that small-town feel where people look out for each other. We work in the energy sector, which sounds very technical, but our day-to-day is actually quite simple. We spend a lot of time talking to local people and figuring out how to get things moved from one place to another. The office is nothing fancy—just some sturdy tables, chairs, and our files. It gets quite humid here being so close to the coast, so we always have the windows open to catch any breeze that comes through. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a local market or a small parade, and we just take a break until it clears up. Most of the people working here grew up in this area, so we speak the same language as our customers and understand the local issues. We don’t have a big corporate handbook. We just try to be fair and do a good job with the energy projects we are handling. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes we get home late, but it feels good to be part of the growth in our own district. We just take things one day at a time.
