Mep Coordinator

Working as an MEP coordinator with Nass Contracting means being right in the middle of the action in Manama, Bahrain. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems spread out over every available surface. It is hot here, so the air conditioning is always running at full blast to keep the equipment and the people from overheating. We spend a lot of time looking at diagrams and then heading out to the actual sites to see how things are being installed. It isn't a glamorous job. There is a lot of dust from the construction and plenty of loud noise from the machinery. The office itself is practical, with basic desks and chairs and a few computers that are constantly being used to check project specs. We drink a lot of water and coffee to keep going through the long shifts. Coordination is mostly about talking to the different crews and making sure nobody is getting in each other's way. It’s a lot of problem-solving on the fly. We don't have time for big corporate meetings that don't lead anywhere; we just need to make sure the pipes and wires go where they are supposed to. It is a busy, gritty environment where the focus is entirely on the building projects happening across the city. The Nass yard is always buzzing with activity, and we are just one part of that big machine.
