Malkajgiri Muncipality

We are the ones working over at the Malkajgiri Municipality office located at H.No 18-5-424 in Laldarwaza, Hyderabad. It is a busy place to be, that’s for sure. Every day there are people coming in and out with all sorts of questions and paperwork. We handle a lot of the local administrative things that keep the area running. It’s not a fancy job and the building itself has seen better days. We’ve got stacks of files on almost every desk and the fans are always humming to keep the heat away. Sometimes the queues get a bit long and people get a little impatient but we are doing our best to get through the documents. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping and stamping papers. I’ve been working here for quite some time and you get to know the locals after a while. We aren't some distant government body. We are right here in the neighborhood. We deal with everything from local taxes to basic maintenance issues that people bring to our attention. It can be a bit overwhelming when the phones are ringing and five people are trying to talk to you at once. But this is the work we do for Malkajgiri. We don't have any polished slogans. We just show up in the morning, open the files, and try to help the people who come to the window. It’s a practical job that needs to be done.
