We are currently stationed out at the Slbc Tunnel Scheme for the AMR Project in Srisailam. It is a very different kind of environment compared to a city office. Being out here in Andhra Pradesh, specifically for the tunnel work, means our day-to-day is very tied to the project site itself. Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has been working on this scheme for a while now. The office is more like a site hub where we track the progress of the tunnel and manage the workers. It can get pretty dusty and hot out here, but that’s the nature of this kind of job. We don't have the luxuries of a downtown office building. It’s mostly about utility—desks, site maps, and safety gear. The pace is steady, but there is always something that needs fixing or checking. We live close to the site, so work and life kind of blend together. We eat together and talk about the rocks and the drilling more than anything else. It’s a hard-working atmosphere. We aren't here to make things look pretty; we are here to see this tunnel scheme through. It’s honest, difficult work that requires a lot of patience. Everyone on the team knows the stakes and just focuses on their specific task for the day. It’s a simple life out here in Srisailam, focusing on the ground beneath us.
