Import & Export Co

Our office is tucked away in 16-A Safeway Apartments. It's over in the Officers Colony area of Secunderabad. It’s a pretty quiet part of town compared to the main markets, which is nice when you’re trying to focus. Import & Export Co is really just what the name says. We spend our hours looking at shipping schedules and talking to vendors on the phone. There’s always someone calling about a delay or asking about current prices. We’ve got stacks of ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days, but it gets the job done eventually. Working out of a residential apartment block means we know our neighbors quite well. Sometimes we share a snack in the hallway or talk about the weather. It’s not like those high-rise buildings in Hitech City. We do things a bit more old-school here. There’s a ceiling fan that clicks a bit too loud in the summer heat, and we usually have the windows open. Secunderabad has a different pace than Hyderabad, and we like that. We handle a mix of goods, sending things out and bringing stuff in. It’s a lot of paperwork. Every time the government changes a rule, we have to sit down and figure out what it means for our clients. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees. Just a small group trying to keep the wheels turning. Life here is steady. We close up at a decent hour and head home to our families.
