Even though we are part of the Mumbai group, our actual spot is at H.No. 10-04-15 on Seshagirirao Street. That's over in the Rama Rao Pet area of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The pin code is 533 004. It’s a busy little street, and we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors don't mind the noise much. We’re Hindustan Construction Company Limited, Mumbai, but we feel more like a local Kakinada business to be honest. The office is tucked away in a residential-looking area, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a typical corporate park. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing people running around. It’s usually just us, some blueprints, and a lot of coffee. We handle all the local stuff from this building. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with work to worry about that right now. Most of the people working here grew up around Rama Rao Pet, so we know everyone. We like being in Andhra Pradesh; it’s got a good energy for the kind of work we do. It’s a practical setup for a practical job. We just show up every morning, check the schedules, and see what needs to be done. It’s not a complicated way of living, but it works for us. We’re just glad to be working in our own neighborhood and keeping things moving.
