This branch of Gujarat Ambuja Cement Ltd is out in Kitta, which is a small village in the Basavakalyan taluka of Bidar. It’s a rural area in Karnataka, so things move a bit slower here compared to the big cities. We handle the local distribution and logistics for the district. The office is a simple building right in the heart of the village. We don't have any fancy signs or a glass front. It’s just a place with a few desks and a lot of paperwork. We deal with local farmers and builders who need supplies for their projects. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours, so we just sit outside and wait. It’s a very different vibe than working in a place like Mumbai. Everyone knows everyone else here, so business is done with a lot of talking and tea. We aren't trying to be a big corporate powerhouse in this office. We just want to make sure the local community gets their cement on time. The roads can be a bit rough during the monsoon, which makes deliveries a challenge, but we do our best. It’s practical, honest work and we enjoy being part of the village life.
