G.N.Prasad

G.N.Prasad is run out of a flat in the Bismillah Apartments, which is in the Dwarakadas Colony area of Begumpet. If you know Hyderabad, you know Begumpet is always moving and the noise from the traffic never really stops. Our address is H.No.1-10-98/15, and we are in unit F-4. It’s a modest setup, nothing like those big glass towers you see in Hitech City. We prefer it this way because it feels more like home. We’ve got our desks pushed up against the walls and books everywhere. Most of the day is spent on the phone or working through documents that need sorting. We have neighbors living right next door, so we try to keep things quiet, though sometimes the doorbell rings and it's just a delivery for someone else. Working from an apartment means we don't have a big lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you just knock on the door and one of us will let you in. We usually have the window open to let in some air, even if it brings in the sound of the city. We do our own filing and handle the daily chores ourselves. It’s a very hands-on way to run things. We don't use any fancy management systems, just old-fashioned lists and a lot of hard work. It's been working for us for quite a while now and we like the routine of the colony.
