We are based out of Linepada in Kandhamal, right at Sri Ram Sahu’s place. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t used to the roads around Orissa. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a few desks and some old chairs, but it stays cool enough in the summer. Usually, the morning starts with someone trying to fix the internet because the connection out here can be a bit temperamental when it rains. Most of us grew up around here or in the neighboring towns, so we know the area pretty well. Cobra Group Plc. sounds like a big name, but on the ground, it’s just a handful of us making sure things move along. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at ledgers. There is a tea stall down the road where we usually end up around four o’clock to talk about what needs to get done for the next day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It isn’t the fastest way to work, but we get the job done eventually. People know where to find us if they need help with their paperwork. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us working through a pile of files or chatting with a neighbor who stopped by to say hello. It’s just how things go in this part of Kandhamal.
