Mohammad&39;S Akk Parveen Rice & Oil Mills

Our mill is located over at Sy. No. 57/Vu. That is in Mylaram village. It is a bit of a drive through Lingotam and Kangal. But this is where the work happens. Rice and oil are handled here. The smell around the place is distinct. It is always a mix of grain and pressed seeds. Harvest season makes it a busy spot. Tractors line up all the way down the road. The machinery is loud. It gets quite hot inside during the summer months. We have been part of this community for a while. Seeing the same farmers coming back is nice. They bring their crops year after year. This isn't a clean job. It is not quiet either. Dust gets everywhere. The floors are always stained with oil. We sweep, but the stains stay. Keeping the machines in good shape is a priority. We don't want them breaking down. People in Kangal depend on these mills. It is their livelihood. Money isn't spent on advertising. No fancy signs for us. Most of our work comes from people just knowing the location. It is a tough life. Working with the seasons and the weather is the rule. This is our corner of T. S. and we stick to it.
