About Hanuman Rice Mill – Agriculture & Farming in Huzurabad
People usually find us on Jagtilal Road because of the noise of the machines and the white dust that settles on everything near the gate. We have been here at 145-60-28 for quite some time now. Most mornings start early before the sun gets too high because the heat inside the mill gets pretty bad by noon. We spend most of our time moving heavy bags around and making sure the huller is working like it should. It isn’t fancy work. You see a lot of farmers coming in with their tractors loaded up, waiting their turn in the yard. Sometimes the queue gets long and stretches out toward the main road, which makes the neighbors a bit annoyed. We just keep our heads down and get the grain processed. The floor is always covered in husks and the smell of raw rice is thick in the air. If you come by, you’ll probably see a couple of us sitting on the steps having tea during the mid-morning break. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a small desk where we keep the ledger books and a fan that barely works. It’s a loud place and your clothes will get dirty if you stay too long, but that’s just how a mill operates. We know the people around here and they know us. There’s no big secret to what we do at Hanuman Rice Mill, we just process what comes in.
