Banashankari Generals & Hardwares

Banashankari Generals & Hardwares is a small place at 375, Ramaligeshwar Road in Kyadiggeri. We call it "Generals" because we carry a bit of everything, not just the hard stuff like nails and tools. You might find some household items mixed in with the plumbing supplies. It makes the shop a bit cluttered, but the people in Kyadiggeri seem to like that they can get multiple things in one stop. We have been at this location for years, and the building is starting to show its age a bit. The paint is peeling in a few spots, but that doesn't really matter for what we do. We spend our days chatting with the locals who stop by. Sometimes they don't even buy anything, they just want to talk about the weather or the news. We don't mind at all. The shop is our second home, really. We know exactly which drawer holds the smallest screws and where the heavy hammers are kept. Ramaligeshwar Road is usually quiet, which we like. It gives us time to clean up and restock the shelves. We don't have any fancy website or social media. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come down to number 375 and take a look for yourself. We are just local people running a local shop, and that’s enough for us. It’s a simple life and we wouldn't change much about it.
