You can find Ud Hydraulics over in Bandel, which is in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. We are set up at Mr. Sukhendu Seth’s place, right near Bali More. It is a bit of a trek from the main part of Kolkata, but we like it here. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than the city center. We spend our days working on hydraulic systems and whatever else needs fixing or building. Our workshop is not a high-tech lab. It is more of a practical space where there is grease on the floor and tools scattered on the benches. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Mr. Sukhendu Seth is a well-known name around here, so people do not have much trouble finding us. We do not spend money on fancy websites or big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We just try to do a solid job and get things back to the customers when we say we will. Sometimes parts are hard to find and things take longer than expected. We just tell people the truth about the delay. It is better that way. The local tea stall is just around the corner, and that is where we usually end up talking shop with our neighbors. It is a simple life and a simple business, just the way we like it. (257 words)
