Subhankar Photography

I run Subhankar Photography out of our place at No.-1 Gurdaha Malakar Parashyamnagar. It is not a big fancy studio with backdrops and lights everywhere, but it is where I keep all my gear and do my editing. I have been taking photos since I was a teenager, and eventually, it just turned into a business. Most of my work involves going out to weddings or small family gatherings around Parashyamnagar. I spend a lot of time charging batteries and cleaning my lenses. My computer is always running because editing photos takes forever. I don't use any of those automated filters; I just try to make the colors look like they did when I took the picture. Sometimes the lighting at a venue is terrible, and I have to work twice as hard to get a good shot. It is a lot of standing on your feet for hours. People think it is easy, but my back usually hurts by the end of a long shoot. I do not have a big portfolio book to show off. Most people just see my work from their friends' photos. I like being based in Gurdaha because it is quiet and I can focus. I am just one guy with a camera trying to capture some decent memories for people. It is a humble way to work, and I am glad I get to do it here in my own neighborhood.
