Shree Basaveshwara Steels

We’ve been operating out of the Gaonkar Complex for a while now. If you know where Laxmi Talkies is, we are right there at 12-32. It’s a busy little corner. You can usually hear the music or the crowds from the cinema when a big movie is playing. Our shop is full of steel bars, sheets, and all sorts of metal supplies. It’s a dusty job, and there’s always the sound of metal clanging against metal as we load up the trucks. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass windows. It’s more of a warehouse feel where things are stacked wherever they fit. Most of our customers are local builders or guys working on their own houses. We know many of them by name because they’ve been coming to us for years. Sometimes we run out of a certain size and have to tell people to come back tomorrow once the truck arrives. It’s just how it goes. The office is small, just a desk and a couple of chairs for when we need to write out the bills. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. We just open up early and close once the sun goes down. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty within five minutes of starting, but it’s a living. We’re just a local steel shop trying to get the orders out on time for our neighbors.
