Samarth Ice Cream

Our shop, Samarth Ice Cream, is located right in Durga Nagar. Hirekerur is a small place, and everyone knows the Taluk office area. We aren't some big brand you see on TV. We just make ice cream and sell it from this little corner. Haveri gets really dusty in the summer months, so the shop is a bit of a refuge for people. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just the cold from the freezers. My cousin and I started this because there wasn't a good place nearby. We use local milk. Sometimes the delivery is late because of the rain or a tractor breakdown on the main road. We don't worry about it too much. We just do our work. The address is easy to find if you are near the Durga temple. We keep the tubs full of mango and vanilla mostly. It’s a simple life, honestly. We spend most of the day scooping and talking to the neighbors. There is no big secret to what we do. We just try to keep the machines running and the floors swept. Sometimes we run out of cones early on Sundays. That’s just how it goes for a small business here. We don't have a big marketing plan. People just know where we are. It’s just us doing what we can every day.
