Punj Lloyd

Belgaum is a nice enough place to live and work, and our office is right on Ghee Galli at House Number 4339. The street name always gets a laugh from people who aren't from around here. It’s an old part of the city in Karnataka and the buildings are all squeezed together. Our office is a bit narrow and we have to be careful not to bump into each other when we are moving around. There is a lot of history in these streets and you can feel it when you walk to work. We don't have any fancy signs or modern furniture. Most of the desks have been here for years and they show some wear and tear. We deal with a lot of local stuff and the phone stays pretty busy throughout the morning. The language in the office is a mix of Kannada and English, depending on who we are talking to. When the monsoon hits, the rain on the roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other speak. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. There isn't any big corporate mystery here. We are just a local group of people managing things from a small office in a busy part of town. It’s a practical way to spend the day and we like the familiarity of the neighborhood and the people around us. Every day is pretty much the same.
