Femila Ice-Cream Co.

You can find Femila Ice-Cream Co. at No. 3, Arvindnagar Road, which is right in the middle of Old Hubli. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time. It’s an older neighborhood, and we like the feeling of being part of the history here. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us making ice cream and getting it out to the people who want it. The shop itself is pretty plain. We have some signs up and our equipment, but it’s more of a working space than a showroom. Every morning we start early to get everything ready for the day. Sometimes the rain in Hubli makes things difficult, especially when we have to move stuff around, but we just deal with it. We know most of the families on Arvindnagar Road by name. They’ve been coming to us for years. It is nice to see the kids grow up and then bring their own children in. We don't do much in the way of big advertisements or anything. We just let the product speak for itself. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but we are used to it by now. The area around No. 3 gets a bit busy in the evenings, but it's a good kind of busy. We just keep doing what we do every day.
