Shri Renuka Engineering

Out here at C Plot No 44 on Gamanagatti Road, things stay pretty busy from early morning. We are in Navanagar, and if you know the area, you know it’s mostly industrial work happening around here. The shop floor at Shri Renuka Engineering is usually covered in metal shavings and a bit of oil, which is pretty standard for an engineering place. We spend a lot of time working with the machines. It gets loud when everything is running at once, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other. The road outside, Gamanagatti Road, gets a lot of trucks coming and going, which makes it dusty. We don’t have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably find us near the lathes or checking some parts. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we just know the routine by heart now. Lunch is usually eaten quick so we can get back to the jobs. In the summers, it gets quite hot under the roof, but we have some fans going. It’s honest work, mostly just fixing things or making new parts as per the orders that come in. We’ve been in this plot for some time and the neighbors are all doing similar stuff. It’s a good community of workers and small shop owners who just want to do their job and go home.
