Greenwood International Primary School

Our school is over at Shivanand Nagar in Hubli. We are at house number 220, right in the middle of the Navanagar area. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a home rather than a big institution. We deal with primary school kids, so as you can imagine, it gets pretty loud during the day. There is always a lot of running around and shouting during the breaks between classes. Since we are in a house, it doesn't feel like a cold place. It has a more familiar vibe for the little ones who are just starting out with their education. We have been in this part of Hubli for a bit now, and we see the same faces every morning when parents drop their children off at the gate. The street gets a bit narrow with all the cycles and cars in the morning, but we manage to get everyone inside. Inside, we have set up the rooms for different classes. It’s nothing too complicated or high-tech. We just focus on giving the kids a space to be themselves while they learn their letters and numbers. Sometimes the rainy season in Hubli makes things a bit messy outside with the mud, but inside we keep it as tidy as we can. It’s just a local primary school trying to do right by the families living nearby in Navanagar. You won't find any big slogans here, just us.
