The Indian Glass Store

We run The Indian Glass Store over at 131 Netaji Subhash Road. It’s a place filled with all sorts of glass, so we have to be careful where we step. One wrong move and something might crack. We’ve got sheets of glass leaning against the walls and smaller pieces tucked into corners. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes. The light comes in through the front and hits everything, making the whole place feel bright. We’ve been at this address for many years now. People come to us when they need a window replaced or maybe a mirror for their home. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us doing the cutting and the carrying. You have to have steady hands for this kind of work. Sometimes the edges are sharp, so we have to be mindful. Netaji Subhash Road is always full of life. There are delivery trucks and people everywhere. We fit right into the middle of it. We don't spend money on big signs or commercials. We just do the work as it comes in. If someone needs a piece of glass cut to a specific size, we get the tape measure out and get to it. It’s practical work. We like the sound of the glass being cut. It’s a satisfying sound once you get used to it. We just take it day by day.
