We are located in a village called Mellock, which is tucked away in the Howrah district of West Bengal. Techno Electric & Engineering Co.Ltd has its roots here, specifically in the S. Bijuli area. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but we stay very busy with our engineering tasks. Most of us grew up around here or in the neighboring villages. The office is a simple structure that we’ve modified over the years to fit our needs. We have benches for working on smaller parts and a big table where we spread out the designs when we are planning something new. Sometimes the local kids play cricket nearby and we have to watch out for stray balls hitting the windows. Working in a rural setting like Mellock means we have to be a bit more resourceful with how we get things done. If we run out of a certain component, it’s a bit of a trek to get more from the city. But we manage just fine. Our days start early when the air is still cool and pleasant. We don't have any big marketing department or anything like that. We just do the work that needs doing. People in the village know us as the electric guys, and that’s a title we’re happy to have. The road to the post office is our main landmark for anyone trying to find us. It’s a peaceful spot to spend a workday, even when things get stressful with a tight deadline or a difficult repair.
