Tasty & Thirsty

If you walk down C. R. Das Sarani in Bally, you’ll find us near the Ghoshpara post office. Tasty & Thirsty has been a part of this neighborhood for a while now. We’re not a big chain or anything, just a local spot where people stop by. The name says what we do, and we don’t try to make it more complicated than that. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot of stuff into the space we have. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’ve got character from all the years. We know most of our customers by name because they live just a few streets away. It’s nice to hear the local gossip or talk about the weather while we’re working. Nischinda is a busy area, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We have to make sure we’re stocked up before then. My cousin helps me out behind the counter most days. We don’t have a big marketing plan or fancy signs. Usually, it’s just someone pointing a neighbor in our direction. Sometimes things get a little chaotic when five people walk in at once, but we manage to get everyone sorted eventually. It’s just a simple life running a shop in a place where people actually talk to each other. We like the rhythm of this street and the people who live around here.
