You will find us over at 61/1/5/1 on Shaik Para Lane in Howrah. It’s a bit of a maze to get here if you aren't from this part of West Bengal. We’ve been running Srl Religare Pvt Ltd from this spot for quite a while. The building has that traditional Howrah feel to it. It’s definitely not one of those new glass towers you see in the city center. We deal with a lot of people from the surrounding neighborhoods. Most of our mornings start with the sound of the street waking up outside. We keep things very simple inside. There are wooden desks, some old chairs, and plenty of paperwork to go around. It gets very hot in the summer months, so we rely on the ceiling fans to keep us going. We don't spend any money on fancy decorations because that's not why we are here. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or talk for a bit until it comes back. It is a very local way of working. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells snacks at the end of the lane. There is a certain rhythm to the day here that everyone gets used to. We aren't trying to be something we are not. It’s just a group of us working in a quiet lane in Howrah West Bengal 711 103 India. We get through the list and then head home.
