Simplex Infrastructure Limited

Our place is at 46/12/1/2 Brojonath Lahiri Lane in Howrah. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you’ve been here, you don’t forget the way. We are part of Simplex Infrastructure Limited, but this specific spot feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. The lane is narrow, like a lot of parts of West Bengal, so you have to be careful driving in. We have been here for a good while. The building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our tools or project folders. There’s a lot of talk about cement, steel, and deadlines. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a stove for making tea. It’s a real working environment. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the neighbors are busy, but we don’t mind. We prefer this over some sterile office park. It feels more connected to the ground. The light in the afternoons is actually quite nice through the side windows. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and talking to the site foremen. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We just try to keep things moving along and make sure everything is in order. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know each other's habits. It makes the long weeks a bit easier to handle. We stay until the light fades most nights.
