Shirshak Health Foundation

Shirshak Health Foundation is right on the main G.T. Road in Liluah, Howrah. The address is 281/15/B/1, and if you know that road, you know it never really goes quiet. Trucks are always rumbling past and the honking is constant, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. We handle health-related stuff here. It isn't a big hospital or anything, just a foundation trying to help people navigate their medical needs. We have a few chairs in the front for people to sit while they wait. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that’s not really a priority right now. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street feeling overwhelmed by doctors or medicine costs. We don't have a fancy uniforms or a big staff. It's just a few local people who wanted to do something useful. Sometimes we stay late because someone came in right at closing time with a problem that couldn't wait until morning. Liluah is a busy place and there’s always someone needing something. We try to keep things simple and honest. We don't promise miracles, we just try to help with the practical side of staying healthy. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking, but it’s what we do here in this little spot.
