Shibpur Iron & Sanitary Mart

Shibpur Iron & Sanitary Mart is located at 73/1, Sarat Chatterjee Road. We’ve been sitting on this corner for quite a while. The place is filled with all sorts of iron and sanitary pipes and fittings. It’s a bit of a maze inside, to be honest. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time. Sarat Chatterjee Road is a busy street, and we get all kinds of people coming through. Some are builders, some are just folks trying to fix a leak at home. We don't have any big sales pitches or anything like that. We just show you what we have and tell you the price. The building is old, but it does the job. We’ve been part of the neighborhood for a long time. It’s a simple business. We open the doors early and stay until the evening. Sometimes it’s dusty and heavy work, but that’s just how it is with iron and sanitary goods. We don’t bother with fancy displays. People come here because they know we’re at 73/1 and we usually have what they need. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We just keep doing what we do at the mart. It’s been our life for years and we're okay with that.
