Shiba Electronics & Electrical Co.

Our office is in Ichapur, in the Somechanditala area near Santragachi. People around here call it Majherpara. Shiba Electronics & Electrical Co. has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. The office is part of an older building, and you can tell by the thick walls and the way the doors don't always shut right. We have benches covered in soldering irons, multimeters, and various bits of electrical components. There is always something being taken apart or put back together on the main table. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of all the old electronics we keep for spare parts. We don’t really have a sales team. It’s usually just one of us sitting there working on a circuit board while someone else answers the door. The neighborhood is quiet mostly, except when the trains go by nearby. We’ve grown used to it. We aren't looking to become a massive company. We just like fixing things and making sure the electrical work is done properly. Sometimes we stay late because a job is tricky, and other times we close up early if the weather is nice. It’s just an honest way to make a living. We know most of our neighbors and they know us. If the lights go out or a motor stops working, they usually just walk over and ask us to take a look at what's wrong.
