Golden Machinery Corporation is right on the main stretch at 194/3 G.T. Road (North) in Salkia. If you know G.T. Road, you know it’s always packed with trucks and traffic. Our place is no different. It’s a workshop and a storage space filled with all kinds of mechanical parts and equipment. There is usually some grease on the floor and the smell of metal in the air. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of our machines are heavy and take up a lot of space, so things are stored where they can fit. We spend a lot of time helping customers figure out which part they need for their repairs or their small factories. It’s noisy work sometimes, especially when we are testing something out or moving things around with the pallet jack. The building itself is older, but it’s sturdy and serves us well. We’ve been in Salkia for years, and the locals know us as the place to go when something breaks down. We aren't much for small talk or big sales pitches. We just show you what we have and tell you what it does. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back for when we get a spare minute. That’s pretty much how a typical day goes for us here in the shop. We keep the doors open late most days. There’s a lot of heavy lifting to do usually.
