You can find Sathi Shoe House at 122 K Chamrail on Banaras Road. It’s a very straightforward kind of shop without any frills. We have shoes for everyone, mostly simple stuff meant for daily wear and work. The shop isn't very big, so we have to make use of every single inch of space we have. Banaras Road is always busy with big trucks and cars, so there’s always a bit of dust that drifts in through the door. We spend a good amount of time every morning wiping down the boxes and the glass. It feels like a never-ending job. We don't have a corporate office or anything complicated like that. It’s just this one room with shelves. When people come in, we ask what they are looking for and try to find the right size in the back. Sometimes we don't have exactly what they want, and we just tell them to come back next week when the new stock arrives. We don't try to push anyone into buying things they don't really need. That's not how we do things at this shop. We’ve been at this address for some time now. The floor is plain concrete and the walls are painted a simple color. It’s a practical place for practical people. We focus on getting the work done and making sure people leave with a decent pair of shoes.
