Sabarbani Stores

Sabarbani Stores is right on Kulgachia Station Road in Howrah. Being so close to the station means there is always someone passing by the front door. We started this shop to serve the local people and those who are catching the train every morning. We sell all sorts of things, from basic groceries to small household items like buckets and brooms. It’s a busy spot most of the time. Howrah can be quite crowded, and Station Road is no different with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and putting things on the shelves so people can see them. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular storefront with a lot of stuff packed inside. We keep things like tea, sugar, and various snacks. Sometimes commuters stop by for a quick bottle of water or some biscuits before their journey. We open up early because the first trains start quite early in the morning. It can get tiring standing all day behind the counter, but it’s just part of the job. We have a few regulars who come in every single day for their daily needs. We don't do any big advertising or things like that. People just know we are here because they see us every time they go to the station. The rain in West Bengal can be heavy, so we have to watch the roof for leaks.
