S. V. G. Stores

S. V. G. Stores is located at 53/1, Jaya Bibi Road. We are quite close to the Shyam Mandir in the Ghusuri area. It’s a well-known landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. Our store is one of those places that has been around for a while. We have all sorts of daily items tucked away on the shelves. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep as much as we can in stock. The street outside, Jaya Bibi Road, can get pretty congested with rickshaws and pedestrians. We spend our time checking the dates on products and helping people find what they need for their kitchens. It’s a lot of standing on our feet all day. We have a small stool behind the counter but it rarely gets used during the rush hours. The bells from the Shyam Mandir can be heard clearly from here during the prayer times. It gives the place a certain feel. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. Just a simple board with the name S. V. G. Stores on it. We know the local gossip and the weather patterns. People come here not just to buy stuff but to say hello. It’s a typical neighborhood store where things are done the old-fashioned way. We just try to keep the shelves full and the floor swept as much as the dust allows. It's home to us.
