S P Clinic

Shibpur is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it on GT Road. Our address is 493/B, and it is a typical busy street location. S P Clinic isn’t hard to find if you are used to the chaos of the main road. The buses go by constantly and the horns never really stop. Inside, it is a bit different. We have a small waiting area with some plastic chairs that have seen better days. The floor is that old grey tile. It’s just a place where people come when they aren't feeling well. We spend a lot of time looking out the window at the traffic when it’s slow. Shibpur has a lot of history but mostly it just has a lot of people. The clinic is part of an older building. You have to step up off the sidewalk to get inside. We don’t have any fancy machines or shiny lights. Just a desk, some basic tools, and a lot of registers. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we keep a torch handy. It is a very normal, local clinic for the folks around GT Road. We don’t try to be anything else. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last person leaves. Sometimes the neighbor from the tea stall brings over a cup of chai in the afternoon. It is just how things are here on GT Road every day.
