S. I. Surgical Corporation, Kolkata

Our place is located on the first floor of DU Market, right in the middle of Bankra Bazar. It is a bit of a maze getting to rooms 121-140 if you aren't used to the layout. S. I. Surgical Corporation has been part of this Howrah neighborhood for a while. The market is always loud and crowded with people moving goods back and forth. We spend most of our time inside these rooms, dealing with supplies and talking to people who need things for their clinics or hospitals. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have some fans going to keep us sane. Kolkata traffic is something else, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We try to keep everything sorted on the shelves, though it gets messy when we are busy. We aren't a big flashy company with a glass building. We are just here in the market, working out of these rooms. People know us by name around here. Sometimes we sit out in the hallway for a tea break when things quiet down a bit. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking boxes and making sure the numbers match up on the invoices. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep our customers happy without any big promises or fancy talk. It is a simple life and we are okay with that.
