If you are looking for us, we are located at 4/1 Madhab Banerjee Lane in Bally, Howrah. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main city. We stay very busy with the international side of things though. R.P International has been tucked away in this lane for quite some years now. The office is just a simple room. That's where we handle all the documentation and coordinates for shipping. It isn't a high-rise building with elevators, just a regular place where local people come to work. Being in Howrah means we are close to the action but away from the worst of the Kolkata traffic most days. Hours are spent on the phone talking to different ports and checking on containers. It can be stressful when things get delayed. That is just how this business goes. Our desks are usually covered in forms and stamps. We take our tea breaks together. During those times, we talk about the day's tasks. There is no corporate dress code here. Comfortable clothes are better because the humidity can be a lot to handle. We focus on getting the details right so the cargo doesn't get stuck. Most of our neighbors are families. Because of that, we try to keep the noise down when the trucks are around. It’s a practical setup and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and get the shipments moving for our customers.
