We’ve been here at Rabindra Sarani in Liluah for quite a long time now. It’s just a small place along N S Road where people stop by for their daily bits. If you live around here, you probably know the spot near the busy crossing. We keep the usual things like soap, some snacks, and stuff for the kitchen. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. Sometimes the humidity in Howrah makes it tough to stay inside all day, but we manage. We aren't doing anything fancy here. It's just a regular store with shelves that we try to keep full. Most people who come in are neighbors we've known for years. We talk about the weather or the traffic on the main road while they pick out what they need. There’s always someone coming in for a last-minute item they forgot for dinner. We stay open pretty late to make sure people can get their milk or bread. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but it works fine for us. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure things are in the right place. It’s a simple life running a shop in Liluah. We just keep going day by day, watching the cars go by on the street outside and helping whoever walks through the door.
