We run Prosper Oversease Pvt Ltd from our place at 34 5 1 Baksara Road in Howrah. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from this part of West Bengal, but we’ve been here for years. The building is an old one, and it has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout on hot days. We handle overseas trade and logistics, which means a lot of phone calls and even more paperwork. Dealing with customs and shipping schedules is a bit of a headache, but someone has to do it. Our office is usually full of files and ledgers, and there’s always a fan humming in the background to keep the heat away. We don't have any fancy software or high-tech gadgets; we mostly rely on our experience and the contacts we’ve made over the years. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we are a private limited company. We know the local chai wallah by name and he knows exactly how we like our tea. We aren't a giant multinational corporation. We’re just a local business in Howrah trying to help goods move from one place to another without too many problems. Some days are incredibly stressful when a shipment is delayed, but we just hunker down and figure it out. It’s what we’ve always done, and it’s how we keep things moving for our clients.
