You can find us over in Sankrail at Hatgachabanipur. We are registered under Khatian Number 1204, which is where we keep our main records and do our daily tasks. It’s a busy area and there is always something going on in the streets around us. Paschim Banga Asangathita Mahila Karmi Association has been working from this spot for a while now. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with some chairs and a lot of registers. We deal with a lot of local women who are working in all sorts of jobs around the district. People come in and out all day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded and we have to pull in extra stools from the neighbors. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. We just have our names on the door. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but most people know the way to Hatgacha. We try to keep things running smoothly, even though there's always a pile of paperwork to get through. It’s a local effort, really. We don’t have big investors or a corporate office in the city. Everything happens right here in Sankrail. We know the people here and they know us. It’s just how we operate, keeping it local and simple without any of the extra polish you see in big city offices.
