Overnite Express

Down in Belur, specifically at 14/1 Bhajahari Chakraborty Lane, you’ll find us. We’re the Overnite Express branch for this part of Howrah. The lane is quite narrow, so getting the bigger vans in can be a real headache sometimes. It’s a busy spot though. We handle parcels, letters, and all sorts of packages. Most of our day is spent weighing things and sticking labels on boxes. It's a bit of a cramped space. There are stacks of envelopes everywhere. We try to keep it organized, but when the afternoon rush hits, it gets messy fast. The fan in the corner makes a lot of noise but we don’t mind. We know most of the people who live around the lane. Howrah is a place that never really stops moving. We’re right near the river, so it gets humid. We don't have a corporate style here. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Sometimes a package gets delayed because of the trains or the weather, and we have to explain that to the customers. We don't use scripts. We just tell them how it is. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. We've been at this location for a while now. We just focus on getting the items sorted and out the door for delivery. It's all about the daily routine of sorting, tagging, and moving shipments.
