Shree Jagannath Iron Foundry (P) Ltd. is right on Benaras Road in the Netajigarh area. It is a heavy industrial spot with a lot of history. If you come by to visit, you will see a lot of iron, scrap metal, and sand everywhere. Foundries are naturally dirty and hot places, and ours is certainly no different. We spend the whole day melting down metal and pouring it into molds to make different industrial parts. It is a lot of physical labor, and everyone usually goes home with a bit of soot and dust on them. The machines we use are quite old but they still work perfectly fine for what we need to accomplish. We handle various types of castings, mostly for industrial use in other factories. Benaras Road is always full of heavy trucks and the constant sound of horns, so it fits the busy mood of the foundry. We don't have a reception area with air conditioning or soft chairs; if you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us near the furnace or in the small office cabin at the front. It gets extremely hot in the summer months, especially when the furnaces are running at full tilt for a big order. We just focus on getting the pours right so we don't waste any of the raw material. There is a lot of tradition in this kind of metal work and we just keep it going.
