Mousumi Samajder

I spend most of my time over on D C Neogi Street in the Bally area of Howrah. My name is Mousumi Samajder and this is where I do my work. The 711201 neighborhood is where I feel most at home. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, which is nice because it is slightly quieter, though you still hear the usual sounds of the city. My workspace is pretty simple and I like it that way. I have got my books and my papers all laid out where I can find them, even if it looks a bit messy to anyone else. I started out here a while ago and I have just kept at it. There are days when it gets really hot and the fan just moves the warm air around, but we just keep working anyway. People in Bally are friendly and they often nod as they go past my door. I don't have a big philosophy about what I do. I just show up, open the shutters, and get to work on whatever needs doing that day. It is a quiet kind of life as Mousumi Samajder, but it suits me just fine. I think it is important to be reliable and just be there when people expect you to be. That is what I try to do here on D C Neogi Street every single day.
