Dharmatala Road North in Bally is where you will find us, tucked away at 15/A. It’s a typical Howrah street, a bit narrow and always full of life. We deal with tea, so the whole place has that earthy, dried leaf smell that never really goes away. We have sacks of tea from different gardens piled up against the walls. It’s a lot of tasting and mixing to get things the way people around here like it. The LP 25/6 marker is what we tell people to look for if they get lost trying to find the gate. We aren't a big factory, just a modest setup with a few scales and some packing material. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and the walls have some water stains from the last monsoon season. We don't spend money on fancy signs or bright lights. Most of our work is done by hand, weighing out small packets and sealing them up for the local shops. It’s quiet work for the most part, except when the delivery rickshaws are loading up outside. I like the routine of it, coming in and seeing the green and brown leaves and knowing we have a full day of packing ahead. It’s just us, some tea, and the daily grind in West Bengal. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a local tea spot doing our thing.
