We are right there in Joypur, and the location is quite handy for people who live on both sides of the pull. The clinic is not a permanent brick building since we are a mobile unit, but this spot near the bridge serves as our main base. We spend a lot of time getting the vehicle ready every single morning, checking all the supplies and making sure the engine is running okay. The area around the bridge can get quite crowded on market days, which makes it a bit tricky to park the van sometimes, but we always find a way. It is a lot of driving around and meeting people exactly where they are. We see a lot of the local countryside and the small villages surrounding Joypur. The staff here is very used to being on the move all day. We usually eat our lunch on the go while we drive. It is a different kind of life than working in a big city hospital. You get to see the real Joypur this way. Sometimes the roads are a bit bumpy and the van rattles, but it gets us where we need to be. The locals near the bridge know our faces by now.
