Mmq Fish Private Limited is our small company over in Howrah. We are on the second floor at 57/1 Pilkhana 2nd Bye Lane. The 711101 area is pretty crowded and noisy, but that’s just how it is here. We deal with fish, which is a big deal in West Bengal. It’s not a glamorous job. It’s messy and smells like the sea, but we like it. We’ve been at this location for some time. The office is small and tucked away in the lane. You have to look closely to find the entrance. We don't have a big corporate ladder. There’s the boss, and then there’s the rest of us just getting the work done. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and markets. It can be stressful when the catch is low or the weather is bad. But we manage. We aren't looking to expand into some massive empire. We just want to provide good fish to the people who need it. The stairs to the second floor are a bit steep, so we’re all in pretty good shape. We don't use fancy jargon or marketing tricks. It’s just fish and business. Sometimes we have a laugh during the breaks, but mostly we are focused on the orders. It’s a local operation, through and through. We work hard to keep everything fresh and moving. That is really all there is to it.
