If you head over to the Industrial Estate in Howrah, specifically around the Baltikuri and Dasnagar area, you’ll eventually run into our spot at L-24 and 25. It’s a busy part of town, always lots of movement and the sound of heavy work happening in every direction. Our place is no different. We’ve got the forge going and the equipment running most hours of the day. Forgings is tough, hot work, and you can see that on the faces of the crew when they take their breaks. We’ve been part of this community for a while, and most of our neighbors are doing similar kinds of heavy industrial labor. The roads around the estate can be a bit rough on the tires, especially when the rains come, but the trucks still find their way to our loading dock. We don't have a fancy showroom or a bunch of suits walking around. Most of us are wearing work boots and have grease on our hands by noon. We focus on the metal and making sure the dimensions are right before anything leaves the yard. There’s a lot of history in Howrah when it comes to this kind of work, and we feel like a small part of that tradition just by showing up every morning. We don’t do much talking about what we do; we just get the hammers moving and finish the parts that were ordered last week.
