Ma Lakshmi Bhandar

Ma Lakshmi Bhandar is located over on Ahiry Road. We are right in the G.I.P. Colony area, not too far from Ashakunja. It is a quiet enough spot most mornings until the deliveries start showing up. We’ve been running this place out of No-51 for quite some time. The building is older, but it serves us well for storing everything. We mostly just deal with the daily stock and local customers who know where to find us. It’s a family-run kind of setup, so there’s usually someone around if you knock. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything. The neighbors know us by name. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy, but that’s just how the colony is. We spend most of our time counting bags and making sure the inventory matches up. It isn't exciting work, but it pays the bills. My uncle started this long ago, and we just kept it going. We don’t spend money on ads or anything like that. Word of mouth is how people find out about us. We just try to stay honest and do the work. The shop opens early, usually before the sun is fully up. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep all the ledgers. It’s a simple life here at the bhandar. We just keep our heads down and work. We don't have a lot of help, just a few local boys. It works for us.
